JANNE MIKKILÄ is an inspiring photographer and image maker who works extensively in the field of advertising photography. He has always been known as a person with a strong appetite for seeking new experiences, stamping his persona in the process.
It has taken him deep into foreign cultures and into various sports and activities from white powder snow into the wild rhythms of Afro-Cuban dance. Combining these global touch points of experience has also influenced Janne as a photographer.
In the field of photography, it is the dynamics of movement that has always fascinated Janne. Whether he's photographing sports, dance, performing artists or fashion, he is always looking for a pose and rhythm that has a powerful story.

"For me personal projects are the way to tell visual stories about the themes that I have the need to explore. It´s also kind of liberating to work with very simple equipment. Most of the times just a camera, no truckloads of lighting equiment like in advertising work. Going back to the roots of photography always reminds me that without a story there´s no soul in the picture", says Janne.
JUHA KASSILA is known as an uncompromising retoucher who doesn't stop until the picture is completely refined up to the last point. But technical expertise is only one part of Juha's ability to create magnificent pictures, in the background there is his strong visual view and comprehensive understanding of the world of photographs.
At the turn of the millennium Juha got hold of John Paul Caponigro's masterpiece of creative digital imaging called "Master Class". As a young man, Juha was interested in visual expression in a wider sense but Caponigro's teachings had a great impression on Juha and made him specialise in retouching.

"In my personal work I can use all my interests in art, movies, classical music etc. and mix that influence with the technical freedom which advertising work has given to me. And on the other hand, this personal side is giving me lots of inspiration and "playfulness" for the advertising work", says Juha.
